34m mast system for the telecommunications network of Deutsche Luftwaffe (German Air Force).
Function:
This is a mechanically/hydraulically driven mast. A spindle turns to move the various telescopic tubes upwards (during extension), after which they are automatically locked together. The tubes are retracted when the spindle turns the other way, i.e. always in a force-locked way
Structure:
The mast structure consists of aluminum telescopic tubes with a useful length of approx. 3.20m. All the telescopic tubes have surfaces durably protected against friction by hard anodizing.

Properties:
- Compact design, small wind impact surface
- Infinitely variable height adjustment
- Infinitely variable and automatic extension and retraction
- High twist and pitch resistance
- Frost-resistant
- Drive system completely protected against environmental impacts
- Practically maintenance-free, high availability
- Data transfer through waveguides

The installation is assembled/dismantled completely automatically via a programmable controller and a portable operator console. The mast system can be removed from the truck using ISO corner castings, which makes it separately air-transportable.
