    KZO mast system

FHS has developed a trailer-bound telescopic mast for the communication system of the KZO drone system. The structure is designed as follows:

    • Base frame with mast bearing block to receive the telescopic mast, mounted on a 2-wheel 1.5t trailer for transport behind a vehicle, e.g. Unimog.
    • Winch drive to hoist the mast upright, with mechanical bolts in vertical position.
    • Assembly platform to hold the data transmission equipment with an electrically driven tilting device to tilt the entire system by 90 degrees for transport.
    • Holders for the supports which are extended by gears and hand cranks to balance out and support the trailer.
    • All auxiliary equipment necessary for operations, electricity generator, battery charger, lightning protection cable, are transported firmly fixed to the vehicle.

    Technical data:

    • Height of the aerial (data transmission equipment)

    12 m (center of aerial)

    • Erection time with 2 men

    15-20 min

    • Personnel required

    max. 2 men

    • Useful load

    Data transmission equipment 150kg

    • Positioning accuracy at wind speed of 37m/s

    < 0.5°

    • Permitted wind speed:

    during erection 25m/s

    during operation 25m/s

    survival 38m/s

    • Power supply

    2.2kW 230V, 50Hz

Up to a ground inclination of 10°, the system is erected or dismantled by the operator using electrical controls and a control unit.

The mast system is air transportable.
