Helicopter handling system
The FHS helicopter handling system performs a variety of special tasks necessary during day-to-day deployment at sea, including handling drones and transporting ammunition for helicopters. It can be used even in high sea swell conditions.
The system secures the helicopter from landing, through transport into the hangar, to the next launch.
It takes just one person to carry out the safe, complex maneuvers using computer-supported hydraulic manipulator arms.
After landing, an image processing system locates the helicopter and the catcher device and/or hydraulic gripper arms mechanically secure it. It remains secured in this way during transport in and out of the hangar until the next launch.
